In order for the physical injury and restrictions to fully heal, we often need to address and  resolve the emotional components also.  SomatoEmotional Release is an extension of Craniosacral Therapy and when needed SER provides a gentle way to do this.  No one is immune to life experiences, they are processed through your body and if overwhelmed they are held there.  Our bodies work around held experiences, once overloaded and too great to contain, we develop symtoms. Craniosacral Therapy helps your body release the effects of held life experiences.
SomatoEmotional Release
At times during a CST session when the Craniosacral system or body does not respond with a release and remains blocked, SomatoEmotional Release is often incorporated.  SER is an advanced therapeutic process and may be defined as a release from the body tissues of  energy that has been retained, suppressed and isolated in the tissues for some time.  An example of this is if you are involved in a fall or a car accident and suffer a physical injury, It may be accompanied with shock or emotional trauma that gets absorbed into the tissues of the body.
